Panos Panay is Berklee’s Vice President for Innovation and Strategy and the Founding Managing Director of the Berklee Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship (BerkleeICE). In his role at Berklee, Panos spearheaded the founding of the Open Music Initiative, which brings together over 200 leading music, media, technology industry organizations and academic institutions to create an open protocol for uniform identification of rights owners across the music industry.
Prior to Berklee, Panos was founder and CEO of Sonicbids, where he created the leading online platform for matching bands with music promoters, resulting in over 1 million new artist performances around the globe over a 13 year span.
His awards include Fast Company’s “Fast 50”; Inc Magazine’s “Inc 500”; Mass Hi-Tech All Stars; and Boston Business Journal’s “40 under 40”. He was named as one of Boston Globe’s Game Changers in 2017.
